Discrete Green’s functions for products of regular graphs

چکیده
Discrete Green’s functions are the inverses or pseudo-inverses of combinatorial Laplacians. We present compact formulas for discrete Green’s functions, in terms of the eigensystems of corresponding Laplacians, for products of regular graphs with or without boundary. Explicit formulas are derived for the cycle, torus, and 3-dimensional torus, as is an inductive formula for the t-dimensional torus with n vertices, from which the Green’s function can be completely determined in time O(t n log n). These Green’s functions may be used in conjunction with diffusion-like problems on graphs such as electric potential, random walks, and chip-firing games or other balancing games.

متن کاملThree-Dimensional Interfacial Green’s Function for Exponentially Graded Transversely Isotropic Bi-Materials
By virtue of a complete set of two displacement potentials, an analytical derivation of the elastostatic Green’s functions of an exponentially graded transversely isotropic bi-material full-space was presented. Three-dimensional point-load Green’s functions for stresses and displacements were given in line-integral representations. The formulation included a complete set of transformed stress-p...
متن کاملArithmetic completely regular codes
In this paper, we explore completely regular codes in the Hamming graphs and related graphs. Experimental evidence suggests that many completely regular codes have the property that the eigenvalues of the code are in arithmetic progression. In order to better understand these “arithmetic completely regular codes”, we focus on cartesian products of completely regular codes and products of their ...
متن کاملNonsingular Green’s Functions for Multi-Layer Homogeneous Microstrip Lines
In this article, three new green's functions are presented for a narrow strip line (not a thin wire) inside or on a homogeneous dielectric, supposing quasi-TEM dominant mode. These functions have no singularity in contrast to so far presented ones, so that they can be used easily to determine the capacitance matrix of multi-layer and single-layer homogeneous coupled microstrip lines. To obtain ...
